The Aim of the Student Council
The aim of the Student Council is to work in partnership with the leadership, staff and parents for the benefit of the whole PHS community. The SRC seeks to build a relationship based on mutual respect and trust with all in the school and supports the students, staff, management and parents in their efforts to create and maintain an environment conducive to educational and personal development.
As part of the process, the SRC provides a
line of communication between students,
management, staff and parents as well as
providing an avenue for ‘student voice’ on
matters such as curriculum, pedagogy,
advocacy and fundraising.
Structure of the SRC
The SRC consists of:
Secretary / Publicity Officer.
Democratically elected representatives of each year level.
Preferred male and female from each year level.
One proxy will be elected from each year level.
Student leadership is a priority at Penola High School and all students are encouraged to support and participate in SRC initiatives.
